Moss Agate – Crystal Healing

This stone was used by the Native American Indians as a ‘power stone’, so influential it was thought to be able to change the weather. The Greeks used it to produce plentiful crops.

Colour and description

Clear to light coloured, it has a pattern that looks like moss running through it, and is deemed to be the most powerful of all the crystals. 

Other names: Dendritic agate, Tree agate.

Where is it found

India, China, and the USA.

Hardness: 6½-7

(Talc is the softest at number 1 and diamond the hardest at number 10.)

Structure: Trigonal crystalline structure.

Uses

Crystal healers use Moss Agate for the following conditions:

Colds and flu: Strengthens the immune system.

Fungal infections: Thrush, ringworm, and athlete’s foot.

Other uses: Eye and bone disorders, detoxifier, and of great benefit to central nervous system disorders. Used to bring riches, wealth and growth. It is very grounding for when life just seems too much and you are completely overwhelmed.
