Animal Assisted Therapist.
While training as a Humanisic Integrated Counsellor (BACP) I attended a work shop on Animal Assisted Therapy. I was amazed at the impact of using animals within a counselling session had on the clients.
Working with different types of animals from horses to guinea pigs I experienced clients having the type of breakthrough in one session that may have normally taken several sessions to achieve. I decided then to specialise in Animal Assisted Therapy which has become my passion.
