My name is Richard Brown and I’m the owner of Bdog Behaviour. I’m a Canine Nutritionist, Dog Behaviourist and I’m a Professional Dog and Puppy Trainer, based in South Wales.

I worked for Royal Mail for over 21 years, so as you can imagine I had many interesting interactions with aggressive dogs. This is what sparked my interest into why dogs do the things they do.

I started my journey studying dog with the Centre of Excellence back in 2016. After completing the Canine Communication Diploma, Puppy Training Diploma, Canine Behaviour Training Diploma and the Dog Training Diploma, I became a silver member of the International Alliance of Holistic Therapists (IAHT) and International Association of Neuro Linguistic Programming and Coaching (IANLPC).

This year 2023 I have completed the new updated courses that I mentioned above, and to add to that I have completed the Canine First aid course, Animal Assist Diploma, and the Canine Nutrition Diploma. These courses are accredited by Quality Licence Scheme (QLS), and the Complimentary Medical Association (CMA).

I’m also studying the Advanced Canine Behaviour Diploma through the British College of Canine Studies. This course is accredited by the International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants (IAABC), and the Pet Education Training & Behaviour Council (PETbc).

Unfortunately the whole dog walking, training and behaviour modification sectors are severely under regulated. I would like to believe that stricter regulations will be implemented sooner rather than later. This is why I’m making sure I continue to study the most up to date science based Dog Training, Behaviour Modification and follow the LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) strategy, and Canine Nutrition studies. Also being a member of the IAABC and a practicing member of the CMA means I have to maintain these high standards, to keep my membership status and continue to improve while growing my business.
