Hi, I’m Pippa Cherrington. I run my own business, Pippa’s Movement Therapy.
My work is a fusion of manual and movement therapy designed to help people coping with pain, stress or movement restrictions.
I know every client who comes to me is an individual with a unique set of problems. Through the consultation process, we agree on a personalised treatment programme of manual therapy. It may include exercises to achieve the best results. I support my clients beyond their clinic sessions with photos or video guidance for home practice.
Whilst working with my clients, I aim for us to create ease, to inform, to raise awareness, to have fun, to move, to laugh, to be serious and focused, to relax, to breathe, to be quiet, to be reflective, to be engaged, to be human.
A little history of my training:
My Tai Chi journey dates from 1996. I’ve been teaching groups and individuals for almost 20 years. I use the Tai Chi principles to help people with long term health conditions.
Since 2008, I’ve qualified in Holistic Massage, Sports and Remedial Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Hot Stone Massage.
Then I embarked on the Anatomy Trains journey to gain both KMI Structural Integration and IASI Board Certification in 2016.
I believe in studying new research and training that can benefit my clients. I have added Sharon Wheeler’s Scarwork to my skills, specialising in helping women with abdominal and post-cancer breast scaring. I study with Til Luchau, through his Certificate Programmes for Advanced Myofascial Release.
When not working my life revolves around my family, the dogs and our organic farm.
