I have always been passionate about assisting those in need and have had a strong desire to explore complementary medicine and therapies. I chose to focus on End of Life care as, despite my young age, I have experienced the loss of several family members without the proper support in their final days. Instead of receiving individualised care, they were often in a hospital bed surrounded by strangers, with medical staff only making occasional visits. I believe that providing a personal touch during End of Life care is essential. Everyone deserves to have their wishes respected and be able to spend their final months, weeks, or days in a way that aligns with their preferences. Some End of Life therapists offer support starting from the moment of diagnosis, ensuring assistance throughout the journey, whether it takes years or a shorter timeframe. As a practitioner in this field, I am committed to providing ongoing support to clients and their loved ones.
I will always remain humble and acknowledge that there is always more to learn. Healthcare professionals, including nurses, doctors, and complementary therapists, understand the importance of continual growth and improvement. We strive to provide the best support possible for our patients and their families. I prefer to focus on the personal aspect of care, valuing each individual as a unique human being rather than just a “client” or “customer”. Let us remember that each person we care for has a name and deserves our utmost respect and compassion.
