My personal journey continues to lead my professional one. One of purpose, clarity, hope and healing.
Through the lens of Health Psychology, Educational Psychology and Neuroscience; a neuro-affirming multi-disciplined approach towards whole health.
My practice includes helping adults with learning disabilities, and neurodivergent individuals with a variety of complex health needs; who want to improve their health and wellness, by reducing overwhelm and anxiety to their health and wellness challenges. With meaningful ways that support living life well; one small step at a time.
Having 11 years (ongoing) directorial experience in the Specialist Adult Social Care Sector: Learning Disability, Autism and Challenging Behaviours. My Specialist work includes, nutritional therapy and therapeutic coaching for Eating Distress, ARFID, Mental Health, Positive Behaviour Support, managing Complex Long-Term Health conditions.
My integrative holistic approach to healthcare works beautifully alongside conventional medicine, encompassing the bio-psycho-social and spiritual faucets of life. I feel the true art of medicine is practiced when we encompass the bigger picture.
Some of my lived experiences includes autoimmune conditions, complexities of cardiac conditions: Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome, Wolff-Parkinson White Syndrome & PoTS. Whilst others include, baby loss and navigating the challenges of Neurodivergence; ASD, PDA, ADHD, Dyspraxia. The interplay of neurodivergence through familial history; the struggles, barriers, consequences and impact of relational challenges and Indian cultural structures, built around honour and caste systems.
Whilst I speak of many ‘labels’, it is important to note that it is my relatable and adaptable nature is what makes me meet you where you are. I leave no stone unturned, as I capture your story. Your symptoms, circumstances, challenges and struggles are unique to you, and together we navigate a path forward that helps you work towards your goals, whatever they maybe through therapeutic coaching sessions. At times I may suggest referrals to other healthcare professionals and also I may work within multi-disciplinary team to ensure your needs are being met with the right support.
I have also obtained my NCFED Practitioner Diploma with the National Centre of Eating Disorders.
I seek regular supervision with BACP & BANT registered experts in the field of Neurodivergent Eating Disorders and Disorder Eating.
