Just imagine you're in a toxic relationship, kids or no kids, and you try and reach out for assistance, but where you try and go they feel they cannot help you. Your desperation becomes worse, you feel embarrassed, self-conscious you feel you can't turn to family, or authorities to bring others in to danger. Then the children become the target of the abuse, and you know you have to get out but how - where. Can you imagine feeling so trapped and helpless that you try and get help from strangers to no avail. You try and warn the ones who do help you to be careful because your ex is dangerous not stable minded. Your fear never really subsides - not really.
That's why I practice, so I can be the person someone turns to for help to move from helpless and hopeless to hopeful and confident, and then step into clarity.
As women, we take a lot on our shoulders emotionally, physically and spiritually, and many times we don't ask for help as a man doesn't ask for directions
