Hello & May I just take a moment to say hello and thank you for even just considering me to assist you along your complementary & holistic health journey. Whether that’s for a single appointment to claim a gift voucher you were given for a 60 minute head, neck and back massage, or for us to work together over a prescribed course of aromatherapy, hypnotherapy, counselling and acupuncture to help you overcome those chronic physical or mental health conditions such as a physical dependence upon prescribed opioids or illicit Street substances, crippling depression or anxiety, chronic pain or any other from the highly extensive list of over 250+ physical, mental and/or spiritual conditions.
I work with you at the forefront of my practice before considerations of profit even dare make an appearance! This means I work with the following key concepts in mind at all times:
1) You’re a unique person with individual strengths, abilities and health needs that a “one size fits all” approach would simply be unacceptable. Each patient receives their own individual health assessment before any actual treatment begins to make sure that I have all of the personal, social, financial, surgical, sexual. health conditions, prescribed medications and allergies, phobias, preferences and much more so that I can truly tailor each therapy, treatment or hand made product I make with only you and your immediate, medium and long term needs in mind.
2) I endeavour to make ease of access to my services as easy to access as possible so that considerations such as mobility issues, familial commitments or even those difficult to navigate work rosters for those who work nights, weekends or bank/public holidays.
3) I keep myself up to date with the latest developments within my chosen specialisms, along with maintaining my professional registrations to the required governing bodies or associations required for me to practice professionally, legally and safely with every patient I assist.
I also frequently attend relevant training courses to ensure that I practice with the latest knowledge, clinical research findings and technological developments to further benefit and enhance the treatment I provide. I also regularly conduct my own clinical research and trials to continue to develop my profession and the colleagues I work alongside.
I also developed the “Recovery Oil” addiction recovery essential oil program and range its associated product range.
New developments, ingredients, medicinal improvements, and the constant ongoing development of new knowledge to build upon therefore means that I’m always continuing to collaborate with other likeminded experts who’re just as passionate about the subject. I wholeheartedly believe that one day, we will eliminate the scourge of all physical and psychological addictions if we continue to take baby steps in the right direction, and help as many currently suffering addicts to recover from their constantly torturous existence inflicts upon them, their families, friends, work or school, NHS health system, criminal justice system, prisons, mental health facilities, and even their own local community that they live, use and/or drink in.
I was heavily bullied throughout my entire time at primary and secondary schools because I was seen as being “different”. Constant psychological harassment and daily physical violence had a negative impact on my ability to effectively learn, socialise or even have a friend to call my own.
I always knew that I needed to help others in some sort of capacity, and this led me to joining the Ambulance Service, with my first shift being on the day of my 18th birthday.
I worked my way up the seniority ladder from beginning as an emergency care assistant, to studying and qualifying as a state registered Paramedic 8 years later. I continued to work my way upwards which led me to become the youngest Ambulance Officer in the country. Alongside this I taught new recruits to begin their careers with the right healthcare professional mindset, clinical knowledge, apply a vast number of different approaches to patient communication, putting patients at ease and when emotions are at boiling point, as well as develop personal strategies to instantly adapt myself to suit the needs of my patients during constantly changing circumstances, or when having pre-planned alternatives as an emergency backup plan are necessary to ensure high quality patient care, effective and efficient treatment in a timely manner that always keeps the safety and wellbeing of the patient as the number one priority at all times.,
During my 11th year of paramedic practice, I developed a very rare neurological condition that required me to undergo multiple surgeries to protect my brain and relieve the internal fluidic pressure from squashing my brain from within my skull and spinal column. Because of this chronic health condition constantly impacting my ability to safely and effectively help others during their times of crisis, I was left with no other option but to resign from my position and leave the Ambulance Service.
Over a period of time, I ended up developing my own addiction to oral morphine that was prescribed to me by my doctor over an extremely extended period of time. This continued for a number of years whilst my personality, moral compass, personal relationships and worsening physical and mental damage that general addiction, and more specifically, extensive overuse of morphine took on my body.
Eventually things came to a head and I was left with only 3 options. Jail, mental health institutions or death if I didn’t seek out and gain the help of addiction recovery services in my local area.
Once I got clean and in recovery, the internal yearning to help others once again began to grow and grow until it felt like the need was so great that it could no longer be contained within my body and could almost flow out of any open orifice that it could find it’s way out of!
This led me to begin perusing my training, passion and dedication to learning a small number of select complementary and holistic therapies and treatments that not only had the backing of time such as traditional Chinese medicine, but could also have its therapeutic benefits clinically verified through scientific studies, clinical trials and the modern day medical and scientific knowledge and techniques that we have at our disposal to formally document and evidence their real world benefit in a number of ways including chemically, genetically, medicinally, technologically, diagnostically, and be verified in a variety of ways including clinical double blind trials, laboratory experiments, body imaging scans, blood tests, feedback groups, individual personal experiences among others.
After a number of years developing my practice, gaining higher levels of education such as my doctorate in holistic therapies and clinical research, with a focus on acupuncture, aromatherapy and medicinal massage to reduce timeframes of withdrawal symptoms, effectively identifying and applying the appropriate treatments, community programs and ongoing support to reduce the risk of relapse to maintain abstinence in recovery to promote lifelong recovery journeys that maximise opportunities to live healthy, prosperous and productive lives which not only benefit the individual, but also those in their immediate relationship networks, within their communities and on planet earth overall.
