Animal Welfare Coach
My name is Daniella Cranfield. I’m passionate about helping people to build and maintain positive relationships with their pets, mainly dogs and cats. Animal welfare is my top priority, and I have a lot of knowledge to share.
I have always been around animals, and when my children were young, we rescued an older cat. Teaching my children how to interact positively with and care for animals was important. I believe having pets in the home can positively impact children by teaching them responsibility and empathy.
Working with my children to teach them pet care piqued my interest in animal assistance therapy, which I then studied. This then led me to Feline Behaviour and Psychology.
When we got our Siberian Husky, I went to puppy classes, and this opened up my interest in dog training, which I took further and became a qualified dog trainer, as well as canine behaviour.
As my pets got older, I wanted to ensure they were getting the healthiest of meals, and I studied Canine and Feline Nutrition.
Pre-COVID, I was a dog walker and often gave my clients advice and information. Post-COVID, I had to slow down but decided to start a website providing articles on subjects that many of my clients would enquire about.
My Siberian Husky lost her sight, and I was shocked at how many people thought a blind dog could not have a good quality of life. My website, Facebook, and Instagram pages feature information on how to live with and train a blind dog. I want to highlight that a disabled animal can have a good quality of life.
