I was stuck in an excrutiating pain cycle, on many medacations a day and given one diagnoses after another. At times spending days in bed unable to move. Told to quit work and go down the disability route. I was in my 30's with 2 young children and had a history of depression. Working gave me focus, my career prior to my 2nd child had always been in the caring field and the thought of not being able to get back to that was devastating. 
I was receiving reflexology and reiki which were huge factors in my sanity and pain management. A few years prior to this my reflexologist enabled me to recover from a 6months beddridden with ME so my trust and faith in her goes without saying. It was her that inspired me to look into learning something within the complementary field more as a way to do as a hobbie and focus on rather than total disability and loosing my self worth. 
Within 2 weeks I was sat in a lecture room having been accepted onto a degree in CAM. WOW!!!
