Christopher spent 6 years as Buddhist Monk in Thailand and India. Four of those years included intense training in a mindfulness and meditation centre in Thailand.
Christopher has been teaching mindfulness and Meditation for almost five decades globally. He is an international teacher of spiritual awakening, mindfulness, calm and insight meditation retreats worldwide.
He is UK’s senior mindfulness teacher and a senior teacher in the West on the application of Buddhist tradition to Western society. Christopher is the author of 22 books on mindfulness and related subjects. Christopher has lectured on numerous occasions at universities such as Harvard, Oxford and Cambridge on the topic of Mindfulness.
Christopher is the co-founder of several mindfulness and meditation retreat centres across the UK.
He is the co-founder of the 12-member International Advisory Board of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship. (Three members were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize).
Christopher has given talks and retreats to hundreds of thousands of individuals in Mindfulness and related topics over the past five decades.
Christopher has trained hundreds of individuals over the last 13 years to become Mindfulness Teachers.
