Dr Elizabeth Wey Ph.D (Hons) is the founder of the essenceofhealing.net 
I am a healer, and a holistic psychotherapist specializing in trauma, grief, and loss. Some of my training is steeped in Western traditions of healing, but I am also a seeker. I study Eastern philosophy and energy healing, exposing myself to spiritual practices from cultures around the world. Now I find myself building a bridge between these two traditions.I help my clients to process traumas and have the privilege of witnessing their transformation, and the more I learn about ancient spiritual traditions, the more I’m amazed at how many Western modern day therapies and philosophical thought can be traced back to ancient cultures. I’m always surprised at the many different ways there are of “saying the same thing.” As a psychotherapist and as someone who’s seen many people benifit greatly from the healing power of theray, I completely understand that truly being seen and heard is a fundmental aspect of transformative healing.
