Meridian Healing Therapy – Tapas Acupressure Technique
‘Energy’ or ‘meridian’ healing is one of the oldest healing processes in medical science. The meridians are pathways or channels that form a network continuously linked throughout the body transporting and circulating energy.
What is Tapas Acupressure Technique?
The Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) is developed from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and it facilitates rapid physical and emotional healing. This technique was developed by Tapas Fleming in 1993, and it is gaining international acclaim from both laypersons and professional therapists.
The TAT is an accelerated information processing system based upon the understanding that memory does not have to belong only in the mind. Our bodies have memories too. Fleming describes TAT as a way to heal inherited as well as self-acquired traumas.
What To Expect When You Visit A Therapist
The meridians can be stimulated or ‘awakened’ and assisted to create uninterrupted flow by natural techniques such as massage, finger pressure, or tapping. TAT uses a light, firm, and gentle pressure on certain points, which are held for up to 4 minutes or until a response is felt. A tapping procedure in a given sequence along a given channel or pathway is also used. Muscle testing is a pre-requisite for the technique, and a conversation with the patient about the symptoms, the technique, and the balance is maintained throughout the session.
When the energy flow is unhindered in its journey through the meridian system, both body and mind show harmony and balance. Lifestyles, abuse, stress, etc., upset the balance, and if allowed to go unchecked and untreated, then disturbance and health problems will be the consequence.
The meridian system can be imbalanced in several ways when there is inaccessible or too little energy in the meridian then the patient can be hyperactive or lethargic.
Main Uses
The acupressure system is both a curative and a preventative health care system, which can be used as regular treatment to avoid problems occurring.
The benefits of this treatment include:
Strengthening the immune system
Relaxing muscular tension
Relaxing mental tension
Reducing stress
Relieving pain and discomfort
Balancing the system of the body by stimulations
