The Healing Animals Organisation offers Diplomas in animal and equine healing and communication in the heart of the UK Sussex countryside.
The Healing Animals Organisation has been set up to help animals in need and offer animal sanctuaries, vet practices, charities and animal care workers a professional body of insured animal healers and have access to the nationwide graduate register at www.healinganimals.org
Student and graduate members of the Healing Animals Organisation support animals at every stage of their rehabilitation, working very closely with the veterinary fraternity, rescue centres and rehabilitation centres to offer a complementary and professional service. Since it’s inauguration in 2005, HAO students and graduates have ongoing work placements at rescues centres in the UK and internationally. The Healing Animals Organisation currently works with charities such as the RSPCA, Animal School Rescue, Monkey Haven, Paws Animal Sanctuary, Moorcroft Racehorse Rehab and Bat Hospital Sussex and we volunteer yearly at many international animal sanctuaries such as Animal Care Egypt in Luxor, Borneo Sun Bear Conservation Centre, Orangutan Rescue and Rehabilitation in Borneo Malaysia, Tarqui Zoo Ecuador, Dog Rescue in Cyprus and the SPCA in South Africa. The Healing Animals Organisation have 800 graduates including six vets and ten veterinary nurses who are graduates of the Diplomas in animal relaxation techniques and environmental and sensory enrichment.
The Diploma in Animal Healing is a unique in depth one year practical “hands on” vocational course in animal healing & communication based on the extensive training, experience and work undertaken by Elizabeth Whiter in her international animal healing practice. The focus of this course will be mainly dogs and cats. Students of the Diploma will use their extensive consultation skills and knowledge of animal husbandry care and environmental factors to help promote wellness and enhance the bonds of love and trust between animals and carers.
The one year Diploma is a vocational hands on course covering 400 hours of practical and theory. Based in Sussex with regular visits to a variety of local rescue centres and volunteer outreach animal projects. Students complete 15 detailed animal case histories and 6 assignments, practical and theory exams and a year-long log book of external work with animals as part of this one year professional vocational Diploma course.
Additional Diplomas in Equine Healing and Communication are available if students wish to work with horses. Elizabeth Whiter has secured insurance for all students taking Diplomas in Animal Healing, Equine Healing, and CPD Diplomas in Animal Sensory Enrichment, Sensory Enrichment in Wild Life Animal Conservation and Canine and Equine Massage courses. Successful graduates are entitled to obtain full insurance after they qualify.
The Healing Animals Organisation raises vital funds for animal sanctuaries and encourages student and graduate members to join in. Over the years the HAO charity musical events and sponsored walks have also created much joy, purpose and camaraderie among members and these social events bring like minded souls together to create wellness for all.
