Reach was established in 1990 and consists of 75 practitioners, including coaches, holistic practitioners, nutritionists, counsellors and psychotherapists. We engage in a wide range of activities, which include one-to-one work, couple work, family therapy, group work and workshops. Our unique model is known as The Reach Approach. We have secured a European trademark which is an acknowledgement of the originality of our model and approach. What this means is the intellectual property that we have created and pulled together does not exist anywhere else in the world. We refer to this as synergy… the whole is greater than the sum of its parts… and we are synergists.
Our successful private practice began in Birmingham, UK, and initially extended its influence across the Midlands. In the last 20+ years, we have expanded to other parts of the country and now also have a substantial global network – USA, Brazil, Spain, UAE, Germany, Holland, France, Portugal, Ireland and New Zealand.
We have developed a huge range of self-help resources, which includes: 6 books exploring and explaining the human condition, a self-help app (Happy Hints), over 300 audio-visual recordings and we also have over 1000 handouts, worksheets and other written materials spread across our 5 websites – a collection that continues to expand and is available in other languages.
We are an experienced and committed group of therapists with various specialisms and tens of thousands of hours working on the ‘front line’.
We have been running training courses of various descriptions for more than 25 years but in 2014 we formally established our training school and sought to get our courses accredited. We are now a registered training school/college and are running three postgraduate courses accredited by the CMA and NCIP (National Council of integrative Psychotherapists). We also have Advanced Specialist Training recognition for our counselling and psychotherapy courses, and Quality Checked Training recognition for our coaching course, awarded by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
