Health, Fitness and Nutrition Coach
In my early twenties, I used to go to the gym 2 to 3 times a week, and my job had me walking around a lot.
All this exercise allowed me to stay fit and healthy even though I never really watched what I ate. As a result, I never seemed to gain much weight.
And this worked out well while I was in my twenties, but when I turned 30 and became a dad, I stopped exercising and continued not to watch what I ate. I started to put on weight, and my health and fitness levels began to drop,
Back in 2015, around the time I turned 38, I decided I could not continue with the decreasing fitness levels and the weight gain. I knew I wanted to get fitter, healthier, and lose the weight I had gained over the last eight years.
I read loads of books on exercise and nutrition that year, to allow me to start my fitness journey in 2016.
January 2016 rolled around, and I hit the gym five times a week and cleaned up my diet. By July 2016, I had lost weight, felt fitter, healthier, and had loads more energy.
In August 2017, I decided to try to help and motivate people with their own fitness goals and show them you’re never too old to make a change. So I started my website, Getting Old And Fit.
In 2020 during the Covid lockdown, I wanted to expand my knowledge and achieve my health and fitness qualifications. I wanted my advice to come from science-backed knowledge and provide people with relevant, safe information.
