The CMA Website – the site that you are on right now receives over 1.5 million hits each month! That’s a phenomenal number of people who are keen to learn more about the fascinating world of complementary medicine! Many of these visitors are also looking for training courses so it is imperative that your details are listed on our practitioner database. This is a free service to CMA members only and as a member you automatically qualify for inclusion.
PR and Marketing – the CMA is dedicated to promoting your profession and this in turn ensures that you as a training provider receive as much exposure as possible. In fact, we achieve over ten high profile media exposures each week. Links to Conventional Medicine – Most doctors would love to be able to refer many of their patients to complementary medical practitioners. The problem that they have been faced with, until recently, is that they simply have not known who to refer to, given the vast differences between standards and training among people purporting to practice complementary medicine. Of course, the fact that there is so little legislation in this area does not help matters. The CMA has solved the problem by ensuring that all our members are properly qualified, insured and adhere to our very stringent code of ethics and are subject to a strict disciplinary procedure. This, in turn, helps conventional doctors and other medical personnel to be able to refer their patients to CMA members with the utmost confidence. For those doctors who are looking to train in a complementary medical discipline they are able to access your information easily and efficiently.
Out-reach to Conventional Medicine – the CMA believes that both conventional and complementary medicine can co-exist effectively – provided that both approaches are used judiciously and in the patient’s best interests. With this in mind we have initiated a series of lectures at several of the top medical schools in the world to introduce complementary medicine to doctors, faculty and students. For example, CMA President, Jayney Goddard has recently returned from lecturing at Miami University Medical School and earlier last year she lectured at Cambridge University.
